Years 7-9 (for students aged 11 to 14 years old)
Throughout the secondary years, each student's personal and social development is supported through weekly tutorial and citizenship lessons. Every class has a personal tutor who oversees and supports academic and social development and helps students to set themselves targets for future progress. In this way, we expect that students will eventually be able to achieve their full potential and be prepared for the demands of later life.
From Year 7 there is an increased emphasis upon academic work, independent study and homework. Specialists teach all subjects which include English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Geography, History, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Music, Art, Modern Foreign Languages, Information and Communication Technology, and Physical Education. There is also Hungarian Language, Literature and History for local students.
As students progress through the school, they are encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their studies. Independence is encouraged as are high expectations. We ensure that each student builds a firm foundation for the challenges of study in the following years.
