Years 10 and 11 (14 to 16 year olds)

Throughout the secondary years, each student's personal and social development is supported through weekly tutorial and citizenship lessons. Every class has a personal tutor who oversees and supports academic and social development and helps students to set themselves targets for future progress. In this way, we expect that students will eventually be able to achieve their full potential and be prepared for the demands of later life.

In these year groups, students follow University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) courses leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE.) These courses are studied each year by hundreds of thousands of students in schools the world over. A wide range of subjects is offered by Britannica for study over the two years.

Examinations are held in May and June of Year 11. Examination papers are sent from England which, after completion under strict examination conditions are returned to Cambridge for marking. University of Cambridge IGCSE diplomas are issued to successful candidates. These diplomas are a passport to further education around the world, including for entry to CIE Advanced Level courses, the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, and other college courses.
