Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their studies, with independent work forming an important part of the course alongside the taught element. Some are given the role of Prefect, overseeing and assisting younger children in the school. Britannica students are also encouraged to play a role in the wider community, taking part in social and charity projects which are an important part of their broader education. Such activities as well as broadening their schooling experience, enhance their profiles when applying for university admission.
