Academic Achievements

From Britannica to Universities and Careers

It is important for our students to examine their values and beliefs and really think about what is important to them in a career. As a student at Britannica they have access to a wealth of information and can count on the experience of the staff who have been working in the careers field for many years.

Britannica is a registered international centre for the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).Throughout Key Stage 4 and the Sixth Form, students are supported and advised in their application to universities both in their careers lesson and in tutorials. Students go on to study at universities predominantly in the UK and Hungary, but also in other countries, such as the USA, Australia and various universities across Europe.

Congratulations to our senior students who achieved some fantastic exam results in the summer.

The standards at Britannica continues to rise with this year seeing our best A Level results in the last 5 years. More than one in three (36%) of the results achieved by our A level students were the very top grades of A or A*. This is 10% higher than the UK average.

This trend looks set to continue next year as our Year 12 students have also performed exceptionally well so far with 53% of all grades being A-C. This sets them up perfectly for their full A2 exams next summer.

In year 11 (IGCSE), 46% of all grades were A*-B. This is again is significantly above the UK average.

Britannica continues to be extremely strong in English, maths, computing and science whilst this year also saw some outstanding results for both humanities subjects and languages.

One notable achievement was Valentin Kapitany who achieved 4 A*grades in his 2015 CIE A levels.

"I was super happy and excited when I received my A level results and the unconditional placement offer to UCL. It was Britannica that really helped me to achieve my goals so now I can study Economics at one the best universities of the world."
