During the week before the Easter holiday, we celebrated Book Week, centred around our theme: “The Fun of Reading.”
Thorough Book Week, parents and our secondary school students visited the library to read to our children in Tatar, Korean, Bulgarian, Latvian, Arabic, and Dutch, offering a wonderful opportunity to showcase the rich diversity of languages and cultures within our community.

Students also took part in “Drop Everything and Read”, pausing at unexpected moments to enjoy a quiet reading break—no matter what they were doing! This added an element of surprise and joy to our daily routines.
Our Adventurous Reading Competition made a return as well, challenging students to capture photos of themselves reading in the wackiest, most creative places. The most memorable entries were shared during assembly at the end of the week.

On Thursday, we rounded off the celebrations with a much‑anticipated Dress as Your Favourite Book Character Day. The school was filled with beloved storybook heroes, imaginative costumes, and lots of excitement.
Reading continues to be a gateway to success at Britannica, and we remain committed to fostering a love of reading for both fun and skill development.
