Neil McGarryPrincipalWelcome!
Families at Britannica come from all different walks of life; different countries, cultures and backgrounds. Whether you are new to Hungary or have lived here for years, I hope you enjoy your time as a family here.
Our school prides itself on its family atmosphere and we are particularly keen to involve you in your child's learning in many ways - be it through parent workshops, community events, or regular parent-teacher conferences - and transparent communication between school and home.
A warm welcome to Britannica International School, Budapest.
As a Britannica parent, particularly if you are new to our school and perhaps even new to the country, rest assured we have curated this section just for you. If you scroll down or click the plus icon on the top right, you will find details on everything you need to prepare your child for their first day at Britannica and beyond, from home-school communication, to school lunches and that all-important school uniform.
We hope this provides you with all the information you need to settle as a family at Britannica.
Things your child should bring on their first day
We understand that the first day at school, or at a new school, can be daunting for both you and your child. To help things go as smoothly as possible, and to avoid any last-minute panics over pencil cases and rain boots, we've collated a checklist of everything your child needs to bring on their first day...and beyond. We've also included some other useful information to help with the transition.
