Wednesday, April 1st | Year 6 and Secondary Students

The theme of Secondary Discover Day this Term is 'Life Skills' and the day will be dedicated to developing practical, real-world skills that will help our young people thrive beyond the classroom. The programme will consist of workshops focused on areas such as financial literacy, communication and decision-making, independence, careers, and other practical life skills including household repairs, repairing clothes, ironing, upcycling, bike maintenance, making soup, pitching a tent, and more. Our older students will also participate in a Career Speed Networking event giving them the opportunity to learn about a range of professions through conversations with professionals from our community.

Year 6 are very excited to participate in the day with the Secondary students, as it will be lots of fun, as well as being a great insight into Secondary as part of a series of events to prepare them for transitioning into Year 7 in August.

This is a non-uniform day and the activities are taking place in-school. Normal attendance guidelines apply as this is a regular school day.
