Spring Fayre 2025

Our annual Spring Fayre at Britannica will take place on Saturday May 10th this year! This is such a great community event where families come together for a day of so much fun for the whole family.

To make the event a success, it involves volunteering from members of our community and we need to coordinate to pull everyone together. So thank you in advance to all our volunteers! There are various roles for everyone to get involved in, please see all details below.

On the day of the event, and in the days leading up to it, we are looking for parent volunteers for the following roles:

• Ticket Sales - in the days leading up to the Spring Fayre, we are looking for one or two parents to help us in tickets sales, to reduce the queues on the morning of the event.
• Bouncy Castle - we are looking for volunteers to oversee the bouncy castle, making sure everyone is queuing properly and getting off the bouncy castle after their turn.
• Cake & Coffee Corner - this is one of the most popular stalls at Spring Fayre! We are looking for avid bakers, as well as helpers on the day to support with the sales of the delicious cakes, cookies, sandwiches, coffees and more.
• BBQ Corner - just as popular as the cake & coffee stall, our BBQ corner needs helpers on the day to help with grilling and sales to keep up with demand!
• Book Swap Stand - our book swap team need volunteers to help with manning the stall on the day of the event too.

Please put your names down on the signup sheet shared on Classlist if you are up for volunteering - the more the merrier!

Our amazing Cake & Coffee Corner manager, Barbi is looking for volunteers to bake sweet and savoury snacks, salads and sandwiches - use the volunteer sign up sheet to register your baking interest!

Are you looking for books to refresh your book shelves? Would you like to pile up some for reading them in summer? Giving a new life to already read books? We have something for you: The Book Swap at the Spring Fayre!

The Book Swap is an opportunity to exchange your old books for used but new-to-you books.

LANGUAGES of the books brought in can be ENGLISH, HUNGARIAN and the three languages taught at the school: FRENCH, GERMAN and SPANISH. All kinds of books are accepted, from fiction to non-fiction for any age, children, teenagers or adults.

In the coming weeks turn in two used items to receive one book swap ticket that you can then exchange for one item at our Book Swap on Saturday May 10th.

You can also bring your items on the day of the Fayre and swap books or purchase them at the Book Swap stall.

Please note: the used books must be in good condition with no writing inside and no torn or missing pages.

Start checking your shelves and bring in your books to the designated box in the library.

All activities and school stands will work on a ticketing system, while external vendors accept cash (with some accepting cards too). Tickets can be purchased at the main and top entrances from May 8th during pick up and drop off times, and throughout the Spring Fayre day on Saturday May 10th.

Tickets will cost 250 HUF each.

We are looking forward to this awesome family day and hope to make a sizeable donation to our chosen charities at the end of the day!
