Holly grew up in Gloucestershire, in the West of England. After completing her Secondary Education, she moved to Wales to study Biology at Cardiff University and to enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside. Upon returning to Gloucestershire, Holly completed her Secondary PGCE with the aim of sharing her passion for Science with young people. She taught Science and Biology for eight years in the UK, holding a range of Pastoral and Academic Middle Leadership positions.
Looking for a new challenge, and a chance to indulge her love of travelling, she moved to Bangkok in 2019 with her husband and labrador to take up a position as Head of Science at a bilingual dual-curriculum school. This provided a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Thailand, travel around Asia and to eat a lot of delicious food.
Holly is now enjoying splitting her time at Britannica between teaching Science and fulfilling the role of Key Stage 3 coordinator. In her spare time, Holly enjoys cooking and learning about different cuisines, yoga and spending time outdoors. She is looking forward to exploring Hungary and having the opportunity to travel to neighbouring countries.
