The Britannica cheerleading teams delivered an unforgettable performance at the Budapest Universities Athletic Club Cheerleading Christmas Gala this weekend.

With 22 routines showcased by teams of all ages and levels, Britannica proudly contributed two spectacular performances that wowed the crowd. This was a landmark occasion for our school. Not only was it the first time Britannica cheerleaders performed outside of school, but for most of the 21 students from Years 4–7, it was their very first experience performing in front of a large audience. The stands were packed with hundreds of spectators, including many supportive Britannica parents and siblings, creating an electric atmosphere.

Despite initial nerves, the students demonstrated incredible determination, teamwork, and encouragement for one another. Their hard work throughout the term paid off as they executed their routines with precision and energy, representing the school with pride and maturity. A heartfelt thank you goes to Ms Hopson and Ms Sweatman, who generously gave up their Sunday afternoon to supervise, encourage, and even assist with hair styling! Appreciation also to Mr Trovo for cheering from the stands and adding to the supportive spirit of the day.

Special thanks to Ms Georgina and Ms Lilli for their outstanding effort in organising and training the team. Their dedication and guidance have been instrumental in preparing the students for this milestone event. We also extend our gratitude to all the parents for their unwavering support—whether cheering from the stands, helping with preparations, or encouraging the children throughout the term. This achievement truly reflects the strength of our school community.

It was a celebration of talent, perseverance, and school spirit—congratulations to all our cheerleaders!
