Katalin Balogh

Primary Music Teacher

Katalin grew up in Hungary and has been playing the piano, trumpet and music since the age of 11. Classically trained, she studied at the Zoltan Kodaly Music and Art Secondary School. Subsequently she went to Ferenc Kolcsey Teacher Training College in Debrecen, gaining a Degree in Primary and Music teaching in 2007 with honours, specialising in the Kodaly approach. After 7 years' experience in primary school teaching in Hungary, Katalin moved to London in September 2014 to pursue her love and passion for music and teaching. One year later, as she was completing her QTS – Qualified Teacher Status in England, she secured her first music teaching job with The DaCapo Music Foundation as a trumpet and piano teacher. Returning back to Hungary in 2018, Katalin is very pleased to have joined Britannica International School and enjoys being part of a team of teachers who love making all the benefits of learning accessible and who work with such enthusiasm, good humour and professionalism.
