Starting in a new school environment can be challenging, especially internationally

We are therefore committed to supporting you with the application process to be as clear and precise as possible.

Below you will find an overview of the application process to Britannica International School.

STEP 1: School tour

Our Admissions Team is always happy to book a tour for you and share information about the programme we offer. During a visit you can get a feel of the school's atmosphere, visit classrooms, see the school facilities and meet a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

STEP 2: Begin your application

When you are ready to begin your application to Britannica, we will require a completed online Application Form.

The Application form is done via an online portal.

The following supporting documents will also be required:

  • Copy of child’s passport/ID and visa/residence permit
  • Copy of both parents’ passports and visa/residence permits
  • Your child’s 2 latest kindergarten/school reports
  • Vaccination card
  • Hungarian address card, once available
  • Standardised testing results, if applicable
  • Psycho-Educational Reports, if applicable

STEP 3: Assessment & Interview

On receipt of your application and supporting documentation, your child will be invited for a meeting with our Head of Primary or Head of Secondary, which will include a formal assessment.

We interview every applicant in order to assess their cognitive ability to ensure that our school is the right fit and to ensure they are able to achieve their maximum potential whilst at our school.

A non-refundable application fee of 120.000 HUF is payable prior to the assessment date.

STEP 4: Offer and Acceptance

Providing that the applicant was successful and there is a place available in the appropriate age group, an official offer of a place will be made.

The offer will be valid for 5 working days and the school place will be secured upon receipt of the Registration Fee (380.000HUF) and Deposit (200.000HUF). Parents must accept the offer by email confirmation and arrange the payment as outlined on the invoice. The deposit will be fully refunded upon the student’s departure providing all accounts have been settled, all school property has been returned and required notice submitted. The deposit is not refundable if the child does not attend the school after enrolment and a place has been reserved.

Please view our fees section for a full break down of our fees and payment process.
