Lewis is originally from a small town in England called Houghton-Le-spring. He completed a Sport Science Degree at the University of Sunderland in 2015 and then his SCITT teaching degree and Durham University in 2017 after having a year break in between. He has a plethora of job experience from being a roofer, coaching in a college, teaching in a secondary school, personal training and a sports masseuse.
Lewis completed his NQT year at an infant school in Stanley as a Year 1 teacher then moved onto Year 4 within a parent school in the following year as well as being Head of PE at that school. He has a huge passion for sport and PE and competed at a high level before turning to teaching. He loves every sport, but in particular, his favourite sports are boxing and football.
Lewis will give anything a go and loves to travel, meet new people and experience new experiences.
