Patrick grew up in an extremely beautiful part of the West Midlands in the UK in a town famous for making saddles. A series of jobs later and time spent in the East Midlands and the South Coast of England saw him embark on a teaching career involving a variety of Further Education and Sixth Form colleges in the UK. After almost 20 years teaching Business and Economics at a number of international schools in the Middle East, Patrick returned to Budapest and what he regards as home in 2020. As a consequence he can now cheer on the mighty Budaors 1924 FC at weekends when he gets chance. Whilst Patrick cannot confess to regularly skydiving and fighting off sharks, he has been fortunate to hang-glide over the Great Barrier Reef and swim with dolphins in his lifelong intrigue with travels around the world. His bucket list includes visiting the last continent he has yet to visit (if you exclude Antarctica), namely South America. He doubts if such a trip will improve his ballroom dancing skills, but at least he will be able to marvel at his wife who does know how to dance the tango. Before he shuffles of his mortal coil Patrick may yet emulate his inspirational English literature teacher who did become a famous novelist, and finally get that novel out of his system he has been threatening to write for some time now.
