Sunday, November 17 | 12:00 | Meeting at the last stop of Tram 61 (Hűvösvölgy), then walking up to Hármashatárhegy airfield
Join us on Sunday, November 17th for a fun afternoon in the Hármashatárhegy hills, where we are organising the first ever Britannica Kite Flying afternoon for all outdoor enthusiasts!
With sunny conditions and a bit of wind, this might be the perfect autumn family adventure!
Meeting Point
We will be meeting at 12:00 noon at the Hűvösvölgy stop of Tram 61 (this is the final stop). Then, we'll take an approximately 20-minute walk up to Hármashatárhegy airfield, which is an ideal kite-flying location, with plenty of green space and beautiful views.
Everyone is welcome to stay as long as they feel like it, but we will likely start heading home at around 15:00 as it gets dark early at this time of year.
What to Bring
If you'd like to fly a kite, please remember to bring your own kite with you! Families are welcome to join without a kite too, of course.
It will hopefully be a lovely day for a picnic too, so please pack your own sandwiches/snacks for the afternoon. You can bring a picnic blanket too, if you'd like to.
Don't forget your water bottles! Hydration is key.
Weather
Please make a note that the event may be postponed/cancelled in a case of bad weather, such as rain. We will closely monitor forecasts and notify you accordingly if the event is postponed/cancelled.
Should you have any questions, please contact Mr Hudetz for assistance. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
