Dear Parents,

Christmas time is here!! I’m sure you’re all very excited to be heading on your holidays for this festive season. I know you will agree that your children deserve a well-earned break from study – they have been superstars this term. A particular highlight of the festive period was yesterday’s Brilliant Britannica. Those who have been here a while are saying it was the best ever, so thank you to everyone who contributed to what was a really special event.

New website

My Christmas message also gives me an opportunity to announce the launch of our dynamic and exciting new website. Please take a look over the holidays and let us know what you think!

Canteen terrace

Another exciting development this week has seen the completion of the new canteen terrace. This will be fully operational when the students return in the New Year. It will undoubtedly be extremely popular. I would like to thank the students and staff for their patience over the last two weeks during its construction.

Christmas Holidays

We break today for two full weeks. Students return on Monday 7th January at 8.20am. If you are going away, perhaps somewhere warmer or perhaps to go skiing, on behalf of all the staff at Britannica, I would like to wish you safe travels and good fortune of the festive period.

I will conclude my Christmas message for 2018 by offering the Britannica community my very best wishes for the festive season. I sincerely hope you all have an opportunity to experience the real meaning of Christmas, enjoy the festivities of the New Year and spend quality time with loved ones. 2018 has been a special year for the school with much to celebrate. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for the start of the 2019.

It promises to be quite a year with the building of a new teaching block just one of many exciting ventures on the horizon

Merry Christmas to one and all

Kind regards

Neil McGarry
