Poetry Recital

On Wednesday evening, Britannica welcomed the International Christian School of Budapest to an evening of poetry and competition in the Auditorium. This has traditionally been held at Britannica and it was great to see it return to its natural home. We kindly offered to loan the competition out to another school last year, who, unfortunately, failed to organise it, so it was fantastic to restart the programme this year. We are looking to build this up again in future years having seen the error in our ways!

The standard of the performances was extremely high and Judges Kerekes and O’Keeffe certainly had difficult choices to make when choosing the winners. It was a successful night for Britannica with our students taking gold, silver and bronze in the under 11 and 11-14 categories with ICSB taking the top three places in the 15-18 age group.

Winners under 11: Konrad and Mirko (year 6 Britannica)

Winner 11-14: Julianna (year 8 Britannica)

Winner 15-18: Wesley (ICSB)

Well done to all the competitors.

A further reminder was sent out this week to any families who are yet to return their intentions for next year. If you are still to do so, please follow the link below this Newsletter! Thank you

Have a great weekend
