Book Character Dress Up Day
Please note that the book character Dress Up day will be next Friday 12th April. I look forward to seeing lots of literary costumes in our assembly on the day. Parents are most welcome to attend the parade and assembly if they wish.
Photographs
There will be school photographs on Tuesday 16th April. Please make sure that your child has the correct summer uniform and is looking neat and lovely for this day, as the photographs will appear in the yearbook. Please see the website for details on ordering uniforms.
Poetry Recital
Congratulations to all the Year 6s who participated in the Poetry Recital along with their Secondary classmates. It is very brave for them to perform in front of an audience! A special congratulations should go to Janhavi and Sanvi who won bronze, Manthan who won silver and to Konrad and Mirko who won gold certificates. Well done!
Celebration
Polina from Year 3 Stour took part in the "Pearls of Europe" competition where she won a special prize. Children aged 7-17 years old present their talents in various categories (dance, ballet, vocal, drama, pantomime and photography). Polina received a special prize “talented beauty”, as she perfectly presented herself in 2 areas (vocal and beauty contest). Her performance was dedicated to the memory of Freddie Mercury and his concert in Budapest in 1986. Polina performed her winning act in assembly today.
If you would like to celebrate your child’s successes with the community, do let me know and I would love to celebrate with you!
Assembly
This week, was the Music assembly, led by Mr DuFeu. Always popular, I think everyone enjoyed singing and it was a lovely end to the week.We also did some one-minute meditation and discussed the upcoming Book Week activities.
Many congratulations to all children who appeared in the merit book. Check out the Britannica Facebook page for photos of assembly.
