Lorna Robertson
Lorna lived and attended grammar school in Leyland, a small town in the north west of the UK and graduated at Leeds University (including a placement at Malaga university) with a BA Honours Degree in Spanish and English. This was followed by ten years’ experience as a Careers teacher and teacher of GCSE Spanish and GCSE English in schools within Greater Manchester. In 2005 she studied at the University of Cumbria, obtaining a post graduate certificate in education (Primary) with QTS. Since qualifying as a primary school teacher, Lorna has taught in schools close to her home in the village of Ramsbottom and across all primary age groups. In 2012 she began teaching overseas; first in Qatar then Tunisia and has spent the last five years teaching in Egypt. She is a very enthusiastic and creative teacher and has a strong passion for teaching English language and literature. She is delighted and thrilled to have the opportunity to teach in Budapest and to share her love of education with the children at Britannica International school. When she has time, Lorna loves to visit places of historical interest and art galleries and to attend theatre and opera productions. She is also an ardent supporter of her football team, Manchester United. During the summer holidays she likes to travel and has recently visited India, Cuba, Peru and Brazil !
