Andrea grew up in a little village in the Northeast of Hungary. When she finished high school she started her studies at ELTE University in Budapest as a primary school teacher. It was a big change to live in a capital city after the countryside but she really fell in love with it. Andrea's career in teaching started when she was 11. It seemed like just a game in at the start when she was teaching her younger sisters but she never thought it would be her profession in the future. After completing her teaching degree, Andrea decided to go abroad and get to know more about other cultures and wanted to gain more experience. She spent nearly a year in Scotland and was a volunteer in a Scottish Catholic School. Her good experiences with people from other countries stirred a desire in her heart to work in an international environment in the future. When she returned to Hungary, she started working in a Hungarian state school before joining Britannica in 2017. She is really glad to be working here.
In her free time, Andrea loves arts and crafts, painting, singing, listening to music, playing her guitar and going to church.
In her career, Andrea believes that all children are wonderful and unique. With our support, they can reach their potential at their own individual pace.
Andrea's inspirational quote is: "A child is like a butterfly in the wind. Some can fly higher than others, but each one flies the best it can. Why compare one against the other? Each one is different, each one is special, each one is beautiful.”
