Year 4 Tees Class teacher

BA Sociology with Media and Communication, Newcastle University

MA Education, Durham University

Fiona grew up in the beautiful city of Durham, famous for its Norman cathedral and castle.

After four wonderful years of teaching children aged 7-11 in a small community school just outside of Durham, her thirst for travel drove her to search for a new adventure and she accepted a job in Suzhou, China, at Dulwich College. There she taught Year 6 and worked as Head of Junior English.

Following this post, Fiona decided to move to look for a new experience and took a job in Almeria, Spain, teaching Year 5. She loved the food, the culture and most of all living by the sea. There she met her husband and they had their beautiful daughter, Elisa.

In her spare time, Fiona enjoys travelling. She has been to 29 countries so far and has many more on her wish list. Her dream is to visit Japan. She also enjoys reading, writing, painting and cooking.

Fiona adores being a teacher; she believes it is important to encourage the children she teaches to achieve their dreams and much much more.
