Lauren grew up in the sunny Shropshire countryside in the UK. After studying for a degree in Economics and Politics at the University of Leeds, Lauren started a career in the automotive industry in the North of England. A few years later, she decided to move to Canada and pursue her travels, which took her all over North America, including to the Northern wilderness of the Yukon where she undertook a range of jobs including ice fishing and snowmobiling guiding!

On her return from Canada, Lauren decided to train as a teacher and successfully qualified as a Geography teacher, following which she worked for a few years in her home county of Shropshire before looking for new challenges abroad in Europe.

During her spare time, Lauren enjoys hiking in the mountains, travelling to exciting destinations and keeping active by running and going to cross fit classes. She is planning to spend next summer exploring the mountains of Slovenia, Slovakia and Romania, whilst avoiding bears as much as possible.
