With over 50 different nationalities represented in our vibrant community, our International Day was the perfect way to bring everyone together to celebrate and showcase how proud we are of our diversity here at Britannica.
One of our biggest family events, organised each year in partnership with our wonderful parents, this year's International Day was a huge success. Everyone in our community has been looking forward to being able to celebrate this fantastic event together again, and it certainly did not disappoint!
The day started with a magnificent Flag Parade on the top yard, ably led by our wonderful Upper Key Stage 2 students, followed by some extraordinary performances by our Primary students. Our children really enjoyed performing, and we hope parents enjoyed watching them again in person for the first time in 3 years!
Following the morning's excitement, celebrations then continued in the gym, which was transformed into a hall of culinary delights with a record number of 30 countries participating in this year's International Food Court!
A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful parents, their families and friends for making this year's International Day celebrations truly memorable by being involved in the Food Court, sharing their traditional treats and giving our students the opportunity to taste foods from around the world. We know this took lots of time and effort, and it is very much appreciated. A special thank you to Vera for all her efforts in coordinating the country representatives - a massive undertaking that required lots of organisation and communication too, so thank you very much!
Our students, parents and staff looked amazing in their country costumes and traditional dress, making the day even more colourful.
Once again, thank you to everyone involved, including our teachers who prepared performances and activities, and our maintenance team who worked so busily behind the scenes to prepare for the event too.
It was an epic day and a wonderful end to a successful and busy half term!
