Primary school children chased the Winter away with a costume parade today!

Our Primary students embraced the local Hungarian tradition of Farsang as a way to connect with local culture!

Farsang Dress Up Parade was again a day to remember, as the auditorium was filled with laughter and excitement and everyone got a chance to see the wonderful costumes worn by pupils and teachers.

In the afternoon, there were fun activities in classes in Key Stage rotations.

The children were delighted to find that one activity involved eating doughnuts!

Farsang in Hungary is traditionally held in February and it is all about saying goodbye to Winter with colourful costumes and eating lot of local specialities such as doughnuts.

The carnival in the school today was a beautiful reminder how this event bridges cultures and it fosters connections between the international and local traditions.

A BIG thank you goes to the parents who helped their children creating these fantastic costumes!

Fun was had by everyone on the last day before half term break!
