Georgina grew up in Manchester, UK before moving to Sheffield to study Speech & Language Therapy at university. After graduating as a qualified Speech & Language Therapist, Georgina worked within the English National Health Service for 4 years with children and young people. She supported children age 2-18 with their speech, language and communication skills in schools, nurseries, health centres and at their homes. She has also worked with children and young people in a variety of voluntary roles, such as supporting and mentoring young people with additional needs and also teenagers in the foster care system. Georgina moved to Budapest in 2020 with her Hungarian husband and since then has worked as a teacher's assistant in an international kindergarten and as a Speech & Language Therapist for children in schools. Georgina is passionate about working together with parents and teachers to create environments which support the pupils to maximize their communication potential. Georgina loves working with all of the pupils, staff and parents at Britannica and is delighted to join the SEN team to continue to be a part of the inclusive and supportive community here. In her free time, Georgina enjoys dancing, arts and crafts, swimming, admiring flowers and gardens, going to coffee shops, and visiting new places on the train. She has been learning Hungarian for 5 years now.
