Marco van den Broek

Teacher of Economics

Marco was born in The Netherlands, studied Economics and Business Economics in The Netherlands and worked the first 11 years of his carrier for three different Dutch banks doing Stock Market Research, Portfolio Management for Private and Institutional clients and was a Fund Manager Equities for several years. The last bank he worked for was located in Luxemburg. After his banking career Marco decided to become an entrepreneur and started his own company specialized in Portfolio Management for Private clients. After 14 years he sold his business, making room for yet another challenge, teaching Economics and Business Economics in The Netherlands and Aruba before moving to Budapest in 2023. When not teaching Marco has, besides reading, traveling and playing bridge, a passion for sports. During his life, he used to be very competitive in seven different sports, namely football, tennis, field hockey, basketball, American football, baseball and golf. The last two years Marco taught on “The Happy Caribbean Island” Aruba, without playing much sports. But that will probably change soon, including enjoying school life at Britannica and exploring the beautiful city of Budapest.
