Good afternoon!
We started the week with an unusual session in place of assembly. Year 9 were given the opportunity to listen to Year10 and Year 12 about their experiences of selecting their iGCSEs and A Levels, what they were enjoying about the subjects and how they were contributing to their future careers. I think it was a very useful session, contributing to the information Year 9 have about their choices for next year.
On Tuesday, students of Year 8 Hungarian Literature and Language visited an exhibition in the Castle of Buda to see a collection of the famous Renaissance manuscripts of King Matthias, the so called 'corvinas'.
Important reminder for Year 11 parents – we will be providing lots of information on Thursday to help students make their preliminary A Level choices for next year – yet another important milestone in their school careers. There will be a couple of presentations – a Q&A with a couple of our Year 12 students and an opportunity to meet with all our A Level staff to discuss their subjects in a little more detail. I really hope all Year 11 parents will be able to attend and look forward to seeing you all there.
