This week, Britannica came alive with the joy of reading as we celebrated Book Week under the adventurous theme “Book an Adventure.”

One of the highlights was our multilingual storytelling sessions in the library, where parents and Secondary students read to our children in a wide range of languages—including Tata, Hebrew, Spanish, German, French, Polish, Korean, Portuguese, Chinese, and Dutch. The stories were enjoyed by all, regardless of language, and for those hearing stories in their home language, it was a moment of true pride and connection.

Throughout the week, students participated in “Drop Everything and Read”—a fun and spontaneous activity where everyone paused what they were doing to dive into a book. On Friday, the school was filled with excitement as children dressed up as their favourite book characters, adding colour and creativity to our celebrations.

Another highlight was the Adventurous Reading Competition, where students were challenged to capture themselves reading in the most unusual or imaginative location. The entries showcased incredible creativity and a real enthusiasm for reading.
