Delivery & Collection of Children

For safeguarding reasons, children should not arrive before 8:00 or be left unattended in an unsupervised area at school. The school provides supervision on from 8:00 in the designated areas for Primary and Secondary children. Classrooms are open for our students from 8:20.

Primary students line up on the upper playground and are collected by their Class Teachers or Teaching Assistants.

Secondary students make their own way to their Form rooms for morning registration.

The school day starts at 8:20 with registration and ends at 15:30 for all students. Please arrive on time both in the morning and in the afternoon to collect your child from school.

Various ECAs (Extra Curricular Activities) are available at the end of every school day - details of these are sent out to parents by our School Office at the start of each Term.

Late Pick-up Area

For those Primary students whose parents cannot come on time (at 15:30) because of circumstances beyond their control, there is a supervision classroom near the Primary KS2 corridor (Room 5B) where a member of staff looks after the children until 17:00.

Please come to the front entrance and our School Office staff will call the late pick-up room for your child to be sent to the front entrance to meet you.

Late Morning Arrival

If you are unavoidably late you must go to the School Office through the main entrance so that your child can be entered on the register by our School Office staff. It is important that your child is in school on time so that they can start the day properly and in the right frame of mind.

Arrival after 08:25 is counted as a late arrival.

Illness and Absence

If your child is not well and cannot attend school, you should make sure that the school knows by 8:00. Please notify your Class Teacher or Form Tutor via email and either copy our School Office into the email at contact@britannicaschool.hu or call +36 1 466 9794.

It is important that children attend school on a regular basis so that they are able to keep up with the curriculum and have the best possible chance of achieving their targets for progress. A high attendance correlates positively with good progress and learning.

All medical appointments should be arranged, as far as possible, outside of school hours. If you need to take time out of school for exceptional circumstances, you need to seek permission from your relevant Head of School, or the Principal. This can be done via email and reasonable notice should be given.
